And just like that, I get confronted with my own routine early Friday morning when William and I have coffee. My inner JT sniggered at my ‘goodie two shoes’-ness and talking to my colleagues about making a change, being energized and thinking out of the box. Breaking the routine! You see, the fibres of MY day, DO involve the basic structure for living – wake up, bathroom, coffee (YES COFFEE!), driving to work, work and back again to start the process yet again.
We get to a point where the basic things in our daily lives, are taken as ‘non-influencing’ factors. Those moments where things are happening but nothing happens! Significance is the glue that make the dull becomes wonderful and the boring extraordinary, the only challenge is choosing to look for it in the wasteland of routine that is just so inevitable! William and myself solemnly agreed on breaking our routine and doing things that are ‘different’. Being accountable when we get stuck in THAT rut and making sure we abolish the devil in our routine! Viva la change!
